Tamarind - name of which comes from the Persian "tamar-I-hind," meaning "date of India". Tree grows well in full sun in clay, loam, sandy, and acidic soil types. My Tamarind seedling is growing fast, so I decided to post new photo one month after first one :)

As much as I know it is impossible to compare taste of tomato from grocery and your own, grown in garden or balcony. Tomatoes are easy, fast growing and tasty plants, they are perfect for beginners to ease into gardening.

Tamarind Tree

Hello!

Today I want to show you my tamarind seedling that grew from a seed I had after eating tamarind fruit from Cambodia. I have planted it 2 or 3 months ago. It's growing really slowly in normal soil for flowers... :)

Tamarind fruit is sweet and sour at the same time. At night, all the leaflets close up which is very rare for trees.
